AB 1 (Laird and Dymally):

AB 1 would expand eligibility for Medi-Cal and Healthy Families to all children in families with income up to 300% FPL and would make it easier for families to enroll their children in health insurance and keep them enrolled by simplifying the application and renewal process.  AB 1 would ensure that all California children, regardless of immigration status, have access to health insurance so that may grow up healthy and strong.  AB 1 would finish the job of providing California's children the opportunity to access this needed coverage.  It would also ease the enrollment process for families and help keep children covered for as long as they are eligible.
